The original stockings were made for my son and his wife, who were expecting their first child, my first grandchild. I wanted to make something that would truly commemorate the blessed event, as well as to embark on a few family tradition. I decided to make a Christmas Stocking for each of the “new” family members. A stocking is timeless and everlasting. I now pass this tradition on to other “new” families.

The Christmas Stockings are worked from the toe-up, in a true proportionate sock form. None of that stubby foot-things here! Pattern includes ten pages of instructions/charts, a charted alphabet for you to add any name that you desire, and notes on how to “tweak” the pattern to make it into a pair of socks.

You are purchasing the pattern for ONE stocking. Yardage given is for one. You will need one skein (approx 225 yd) of each color for each of the stockings.
