Supplies needed to complete project:
about 40-50 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn
equal amount of size 10 crochet cotton (optional)
size G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook
smaller hook or yarn needle for weaving in ends
stitch marker or length of scrap yarn (optional)

The finished example measures 3 3/4” x 5 1/2” x 3/4”.

This is a tricky pattern to complete. I recommend this pattern only to those who have experience with my scrubbies and with cables. It’s best left to those crocheters with intermediate to advanced skills.

This is a great alternative to all those synthetic kitchen sponges that we use for a couple of weeks then throw away. Use it in the shower or bath to replace a washcloth. Although the example doesn’t show it, a basic hanging loop is included in the pattern.

One of the photos shows the scrubby along with the matching towel and pot holder/hot pad which are available separately.

This pattern is worked using basic stitches and some more advanced techniques. The pictured example was crocheted using Pisgah Peaches ‘n Creme worsted weight cotton yarn held together with a size 10 cotton thread to give it extra texture.
