The Granny Stitch, the most recognizable crochet stitch there is. And I LOVE it. I’ve used the granny stitch in just about every type of project you can think of, and now I’ve made some fingerless gloves out of it. It’s a pretty simple and easy to follow pattern. It is worked flat whereas your initial chain is the overall length of the mitts and you continue to work the rows until it goes all the way around your arms. Then just seam it up leaving a gap for your thumb!
