If you’re looking for a mindful make, you’re in the right place. Our traditional granny stitch crochet shawl has a simple and relaxing repeat that lets you tune out and enjoy the process.

With this project you’ll learn the basic skills necessary to crochet a triangular shaped shawl that’s worked outward from the mid-point. You only use one main stitch (the double crochet) and a few increases at each point to increase the size every row. Use the yarn we recommend or whatever medium or bulky weight yarn you have on hand. Since the size is determined by how many rows you add to the shawl, yarn substitution is quite easy! Just choose an appropriate hook for the yarn you want to use and follow the repeat until it’s as large as you want it to be.
