Notes:

1. This pattern was written with the beginner in mind but I do rate it as at the confident beginner level
2. This pattern is written in US terms for the right handed crocheter
3. If you can make a granny square, you can absolutely make this bag!  And if you don’t know how this is a very easy pattern to learn from with step by step photos
4. This pattern includes a ton of pictures to help you along the way
5. This pattern contains 2 options for optional liners a. If you choose to use fabric, choose a thick or heavier fabric that will hold up as well your crochet , thinner fabric doesn’t tend to hold weight well for multiple uses b. If you choose to crochet the liner you can also opt for a thicker or bulkier yarn, whatever your preference is
6. This pattern was tested using RHSS, Bernat Handicrafter Cotton, ILTY, and Crafters Secret, and Caron Simply Soft yarns. Crafters Secret appeared to work up a little thicker than the others, expanding the finished measurements by a ½”. The CSS will not hold up if you do not create a liner for this bag. My tester let her bag hang overnight with a few books in it and it didn’t hold its shape. She did however add a fabric liner the next day and washed it and it seemed to be much better. If you do not want to add a liner to this bag I highly recommend using the Bernat Handicrafter Cotton instead of any of the others
7. Approximate Final bag Measurements: 5” wide X 16.5” long X 13” tall (measurements may vary slightly according to your chosen yarn type)
8. Chains at beginning of rows do not count in stitch count
9. Wash finished product in luke-warm or cold water and tumble dry on low heat or lay out flat to dry
