When I saw this yarn I instantly thought of my mom. She has a birthday coming up and is currently in the process of dreading her hair, so I thought a tam would be the perfect gift! I named it “Granola” because that’s what she wants to be called when she becomes a grandmother. The sea foam stitch pattern gives it a fun, wavy look and makes it nice and airy for the summer or fall!

The pattern knits up in approximately 8-10 hours and fits most average adult sized heads. It uses one ball of worsted weight yarn and size US 8 needles.

This pattern is great for beginners but requires basic knitting skills. You should be familiar with:
-knitting in the round
-basic increases and decreases (yo, kfb, k2tog)
-garter stitch
-dropped stitches
