The convertible Granville Hat will keep you looking stylish whatever the weather outside. The hat closes with a ribbon at the back, and transforms into a cowl once the ribbons are loosened. The hat features a diagonal eyelet fabric and ribbed edge.

Skill level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

Skills required: Long tail cast on, yarn held double, knit st, purl st, k2tog-tbl, yo, working in the round, ribbing, bind off, weaving in ends.

Finished dimensions: The finished hat fits heads approximately 18” to 24” (45.5cm - 61cm) in circumference. The hat can be knit in one of two sizes m (l). Model wears size l.

Note: Please use alpaca or natural fibre to achieve the look of the sample hat. The tendency for alpaca to grow works well with this design. Synthetic fibres do not allow the drape in this design. Be generous in blocking.

Tech editor: Katherine Vaughan. This hat has been test knitted.
