Instructions on front of chart sheet, chart Fig. 9, photo bottom of page 9.

Original instructions call for 15 grams of thin artificial silk (rayon) and “Stahlstricknadeln Nr. 10/0”, steel needles 2.5 mm, for a finished size table center or large doily 38 cm in diameter.

Cast on 6 stitches, repeat the chart six times in a round. The instruction “7 M.r.” in line means “knit 7 stitches”.


Note: There are two designers listed for Beyer Band 711: Herbert Niebling and Marianne Vitt. Please see this forum post for an explanation of why Marianne Vitt is the presumed designer of this pattern.
