This PDF pattern will let you make your own Great Pacific Octopus, perfect for the child or adult who likes their krakens handmade. (Not recommended for small children who might choke on the long arms or safety eyes.)

Skill level intermediate: required sts: slst, sc, hdc, dc, tr, and increasing and decreasing in all of the above.

This pattern is worked in the round and uses US terminology. Gauge is not important for this project.

One 50g ball (110 yards) of KnitPicks worsted Wool of the Andes produces one octopus with 17g of yarn to spare.

Worsted (medium) weight yarn in the octopus color(s) of your choice
