A clever combination of simple cables and eyelets burst out from central points along this sock. The stitch pattern may look complex, but after a few rows you’ll fall into the rhythm of the stitches and hardly need the chart anymore. Grecian Goddess socks are knit from the top down with a ribbed flap heel and a pretty cable winding down over the leg and foot. And they’re a natural for cabling without a cable needle.

Due to the high level of detail, I recommend a low contrast sock yarn such as a solid or semi-solid. Avoid deeply saturated colors such as black and navy as they will obscure the cables.

Intermediate Difficulty: pattern assumes familiarity with cables, yarn overs, basic increases and decreases, and the ability to follow more than one chart simultaneously.

Note: due to complex stitch pattern, the instep, gussets, and back cuff pattern stitches are given as charts only.
