Greengage is a long scarf with small slip stitch cables and a garter stitch edge which curves in and out following the lines of the cables.
The pattern has both charted and line by line instructions so you can choose whichever you prefer.

To knit this scarf you will need to be able to increase, decrease and work two stitch cables. Being able to cable without a cable needle will speed up your knitting vastly. There are several excellent online tutorials for working without a cable needle and as all cables in this scarf are only two stitches wide it should be a good pattern to practice on.
