Inspired by the Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper, this lace cuffed glove design evokes the murky depths of the Cornish coastline wherein the Greenwitch lies. Cuff is knit back-and-forth and then picked up along the side edge for the hand which is knit in-the-round on circular needles using magic loop technique. The back of the hand is textured lace and the generous thumb increase uses a slipped stitch technique to give a crossed mesh appearance. Fingers and thumb are tipless.
Pattern is suitable for an experienced knitter. Written and charted.
