Materials and tools:

  • grey mohair or angora yarn – 50 g;
  • white mohair or angora yarn – 20 g;
  • black yarn – small amount;
  • pink mohair or angora yarn – 30 g;
  • fishing line for the whiskers;
  • black nail polish;
  • glue-on eyes;
  • buttons;
  • black beads for the claws;
  • wire for the wire frame (optional) - the diameter and quantity depends on the size of your toy (I used wire approximately 1 mm in diameter);
  • plaster - adhesive-backed fabric tape 1 cm wide to work up the wire (optional);
  • crochet hook for finishing the ears;
  • any material for tinting;
  • false eyelashes;
  • black embroidery thread (optional);
  • transparent glue;
  • several matching knitting needles.

I used “Angora” by RAM (100g/500m, 40% mohair, 60% acrylic) in grey, white and pink color; black acrylic yarn (100g/230m, 100% acrylic); 2 mm knitting needles (for the main parts), 3 mm knitting needles (for the clothes) and crochet hook for finishing the ears. I worked the main parts with two strands of yarn, pants with one strand of yarn. The toy is approximately 24 cm (9.4 inches) tall using materials mentioned above. The Cat stands well providing the toy has the wire frame for the legs and the arms.
