Stitch Pattern used as a base for the Greta’s Baby Blanket project: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gretas-baby-blanket

I have decided to create a photo tutorial cause some people pointed out they couldn’t seem to get the stitch right.

This stitch, however, can be used for an endless number of projects, so let your creative juices flow! :)

The stitch is nothing else than a 3dctog (3 double crochet stitches crocheted together), which repeatedly worked on the wrong and right side, produce this kind of wavy pattern.
Using a relatively thin yarn and a hook slightly bigger than it would call for, will also give to the end product this soft and “spongy” look.

In this case, I have worked a yarn that calls for a 3-4 mm (size 6) hook, with a 6 mm (J) hook instead.

You will find two kinds of directions, since the first row (after the foundation chain) is worked differently than the rest of the pattern.

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment and I will get back to you asap!
