UPDATE: The entire staff of my school (K-8) are wearing these on their masks and seem to love them! Make one for your child’s teacher!!

Did you see that picture on Facebook with the mask on the bathroom floor? I did and it freaked me out. I’m a teacher and I just knew I could do something about this problem.

Here is the Groovy Face Mask Lanyard. So easy to make - it is one row of mostly single crochet. Sew on a button and let your mask hang from your neck instead when it is not needed.

I used cotton yarn to ensure that it would be simple and easily washed.

The pattern has detailed instructions plus a quick by the numbers version as well as one where you don’t have to count stitches. I used craft thread to sew the buttons on.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments on the pattern! Thanks and don’t forget to post your completed projects!

Stay well!
