This is the third in my set of four designs for the Hogwarts Houses. It features the house heraldic motif (a ‘lion rampant’), and a house cheer (‘Roar Gryffindor’). The fairisle border and foot pattern are designed to be evocative of the medieval origins of the Hogwarts Houses.

I used shades 0061 (beet) and 0043 (canary) in Lang Jawoll for the socks pictured. Shades of red and gold in any other sock/4ply/fingering yarn may be substituted. I also highly recommend using knitting-in elastic in the cuffs to enhance the staying-up power of the socks! In the UK Jawoll sock yarn can be bought online from Artyarn.

See the box top right if you would like to purchase the pdf pattern (instant Ravelry download).

The pattern is offered with license for personal, non-commercial use only.

Update:
I have completely overhauled the house pride sock patterns, so that each pattern is now fully graded for three sizes - small, medium, and large. The socks are sized to fit up to 30½(35½:40½)cm/ 12(14:16)” calf circumferences and 21½(24:26½)cm/ 8½(9½:10½)” mid-foot circumferences.
