This is a chart only. It is only for making items for personal use, not for sale. I started by casting on 62 pairs of stitches using the provisional tubular cast-on over the 000 needle. I then worked the chart upwards using the 0 needle. When I got to the top, I turned the chart around and worked it from top to bottom to make the second half of the scarf.

You’ll need about 880 yards of each color of yarn.

I did make the letters legible from both sides, but I don’t really know how to write out how I did that, and I’m not going to chart it out because I don’t want to invest more time in this pattern. If you want to make your letters legible from both sides, I would suggest reading Alasdair Post-Quinn’s books and articles on non-reversible double knitting and/or charting those columns out for yourself, using one column to represent each stitch in the pairs the form the letters.
