The yarn reminded me of roses, ramblers with long intertwined twigs, green with leaves, yet only some pink buds in it, promising more.

My aim was to make a sock with design lines wander from cuff and leg to the gussets and continue to the toe just like the twigs, without interruptions by the short row heel or any other construction feature.

A single leaf derived from the cuff motif is added within the gussets and serves hiding decreases.

The sole lines do not meet the instep lines, that doesn´t even happen in the square toe which was made up for this reason.

As always it´s not a pattern for beginners or the faint-hearted.
