This pattern can be made with about 35-40 grams of left over sock yarn. The fabric is very stretchy so one size fits most and both gloves are made the same and can be worn on either hand.

Gauge: When the ribbing is totally relaxed I got about 12 sts/inch, but I am not sure it matters a whole lot.

The provisional cast on does not unravel because of the double knitting, it really is sort of magical. I do Elizabeth Zimmerman’s invisible cast on and after a couple of rows just pull out the waste yarn.
