This lightweight top has a wide lace border at the bottom hem, with simple slip-stitch textured bands at the hem and rounded neckline. It is knit in the round from the bottom hem upwards to the underarms. The body is then divided for the front and back, and worked separately to shape the armhole openings and the neckline. This sweater is designed to have a casual, loose fit. If you choose to knit it as a layering piece, consider going up one size to allow for another shirt underneath it.

Skills suggested: Basic knit/purl and slip-stitch skills; basic chart-reading and knitting in the round skills. This project requires only minor finishing.

Note that this yarn changes quite a bit following a wet blocking. Be sure to measure gauge AFTER BLOCKING.

Note: Please check your copy to be sure you have the updated stitch pattern row 4 information: Round 4: P2, sl 1 stitch with yarn in front, P1; repeat from to last stitch, P1.
