This is a pretty straight forward, box knit mens hat. The hat was designed as a way to contribute to the Get Well Gang’s cause to knit cotton hats for Cancer patients who have lost their hair during Cancer treatment. (I don’t have a wealth of time to knit the hats, so this was the next best thing) The Get Well Gang had a knit and crochet pattern for every style of hat except a men’s knit version, so here it is. The hats are knit in dishcloth cotton because they will be worn directly on the skin and for long periods of time. People have been known to sleep in the hats, so comfort was the optimal concern. The “in the round” version has no seam, so it’s ideal. The flat version was added to the pattern because people knitting the patterns may not have the skill set to knit one in the round and we would like everyone to be able to knit and donate one of these. For more information on the Get Well Gang, please visit their site and please knit one of these hats and donate to your local Cancer Center. Enjoy http://www.getwellgang.ca/
