Haiku Blessings Shawl

September 2012
Weaving Southwest Apparel, Superwash Sport
Fingering (14 wpi) ?
13 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches
in Garter stitch, blocked
US 7 - 4.5 mm
375 - 400 yards (343 - 366 m)
48 inches across the top and 19 inches from back neck to tip

This shawl is constructed from the top down using the traditional method of increasing at the beginning of each row as well on each side of the middle stitch of each row. Yarnovers are used for the middle increases, and regular “knit front and back” increases are used at the beginning of each row. The Seeds row and the Sprouts edging enhance this Garter stitch shoulder shawl.
