This knit-along is set to begin August 26, 2017 featuring a lovely and simple asymmetric triangle wrap. The stitch pattern will be easy to execute, making for very pleasant end-of-summer knitting.

The pattern will be released in one update, rather than being broken down into three parts. So, the entire pattern will be released on August 18, 2017 by about noon EST.

The KAL will be supported in the Fleckenstein & Friends Ravelry group, so come on over and join up. Our group is friendly and supportive and you will get quick answers to any questions you might have.

There will be three threads to follow:

You will need 2 to 3 hanks of any of our fingering weight yarn bases. Choose a single color or multiples. If you would like to work in a fade color blend technique we will include fade instructions.

Take a look at the last two photos at left; these show some suggested Lucky Violet Color Co colorways that would work really well together for this KAL, especially if you would like to use a fade technique. To find the colors in our store, use the “Shop by Color” section.

This shawl is especially designed to be knit with the Limited EditionHaiku” colorway, hand painted by artist J. L. Fleckenstein of Lucky Violet Color Co. The Haiku colorway is only available on our “Betty” yarn base (60/30/10 Fine Merino/Cashmere/Nylon).

It would also be quite lovely knit with colors in our “Blossoms” collection, as seen in the photos at left.

Suggested Colorways:

Haiku
Crabapple Tree
Lilacs in Bloom
Apricot Day Lily
Irises
Maggie’s Biscuits
Wisteria
Kubbyhole

Many other color choices are available on a variety of yarn bases using the Dye to Order page at Lucky Violet Color Co.

Please Note: Haiku is being hand painted in July and will be shipped the week of August 7 through August 1. All other colorways will be hand painted and dyed according to our regular processing time frame.

Haiku is the title of a fine art oil painting created by artist J. L. Fleckenstein (aka Jackie Fleckenstein of Lucky Violet Color Co) for her 2010 professional art exhibition, “Moments”. The painting was later featured on a wine label for Blanc de Orleans, a lovely white wine by Leonard Oakes Estate Winery.
