This is a very quick, easy knit and a great gift to make someone smile. For a simpler style, the hairband also looks good on its own without the flower.

The dense patterning resembles a vine and hides the fact that it’s come off a pair of knitting needles (which might not be so trendy for the fashion-conscious teen!)

Difficulty: Easy

Stitches used: k2tog, p2tog, sl1k1psso

You will need:

· Wool in any colour. I used Double Knit (8-6 ply, “light worsted”.) Tension square: 10cm x 10cm square is 24 stitches across and 32 rows.

· Knitting needles. I used UK size 11 (3.0mm, US size 2.5)

· Tapestry needle

· Elastic (optional)

· Button
