TRICK OR TREAT?!?

You can do both if you make this Witches Hat for Halloween!
Rather than being wearable, that hat actually contains a secret stash of sweets and candy. Of course you could fill it with all sorts of goodies! The pattern includes Spooky decorations too including a Spider complete with cobweb, a Bat, a Pumpkin and some Eyeballs!

PLEASE NOTE
I’m based in the UK and my patterns are written using UK terminology.

To make your Witches Hat and its Spooky Friends you’ll need:
A 4mm crochet hook
Double knitting Yarn in the following colours: Black – (I used approx. 300g/900 metres) Oddments in Orange, Green, Purple and White Stuffing
Google eyes x 4 (2 for Bat, 2 for Spider)
Sheet of A1 black card for Hat (I stitched through the card to attach the crocheted cover but you could either glue or tape instead. Just bear in mind that the card shouldn’t be so stiff that you can’t bend it into a cone shape).

Tension – 17sts and 11 rows to 4”/10cm

Finished Size for Hat – Approx. 22”/56cm tall (if straightened) x 14.5”/37cm wide at brim

Happy Halloween!
