This winter hat is a quick-to-knit project, using just one skein of bulky-weight yarn . It’s worked in a warm and dense honeycomb brioche pattern that’s also stretchy enough to fit most head sizes.

Hanabi, which means fireworks in Japanese, is the name of a favourite card game and became the inspiration for the multicoloured pom pom. A printable pom pom template is included in the pattern, and a step-by-step photo tutorial is available on the Sweet Paprika Blog.
