I personally prefer the happy, Meatwad’s pet version of hand banana so I embroidered that face but feel free to choose the more nasty, molesting version for your own!

Pattern works on dpns in the round and uses Emily Ocker’s casting on method (there is an excellent tutorial at http://www.spellingtuesday.com/circular_co.html Link used with permission, thanks, Theresa!) and the use of waste yarn (later removed and stitches picked up) for making the legs (as in a mitten thumb). Skill level is intermediate.
