Great, simple pattern. Easily adaptable.

We’re going to use cloth diapers on our baby, so making these soakers has been a great money saver!

I’d recommend using superwash wool for this. It breathes better than synthetics, but still repells moisture. I especially like Cascade 220 Superwash, but the Lamb’s Pride superwash has some great colors (it’s just a little thinner than I’d like).

I also altered the pattern in that I prefer to crochet around the leg hole over knitting a cuff. It makes a softer edge.
