From the book, “This pattern is easy and fun, and
the finished project is warm and
woolly. The hat was designed for
a hand-painted yarn from Colinette
Yarns called “Point Five” (we show
it in two colors; see facing page
and page 64), but other bulky
yarns may be substituted. The knit
is quite stretchy, so you may not
need to add stitches to fit an average
adult’s head circumference.
The multicolored yarn and contrasting
brim and crown create a more
complex design, but you can use
all multicolor yarn or a single color.
