Hank is a very busy little shark who can swim as fast as 25 miles per hour. He’s an excellent hunter, which is why he’s so happy! He is just under 12 inches long (when made with the recommended materials).

The 12 page pattern is intermediate skill level and is available in US and UK terminology – both versions will be available for you to download. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change, back loop only and invisible finish.

The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern:
US Terminology - slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease (sc2tog), colour change, back loop only and invisible finish
UK Terminology - slip stitch, magic ring, double crochet, half treble, treble, increase, decrease (dc2tog), colour change, back loop only and invisible finish

Recommended Materials:

  • Yarn: I have made Hank using Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Aran (Aran/worsted weight yarn) - colour and weight details in pattern
  • Hook: 4mm (G) crochet hook
  • Stuffing: I use polyester filling
  • Safety eyes: I have used 12mm plastic safety eyes, but you can embroider the eyes on if you prefer
  • Yarn needle
