Experimenting with stitch combinations is a favorite thing that I do when designing. The Hanna Hat is a marriage of different ribbing stitches. This marriage results in a cuddly soft, squishy and stretchable fabric. I am pleased with the results because these stitches add loft and dimension to the hat, making it extra soft.

The Hanna hatband can be knit by itself and used for a nice and thick ear warmer. Or you can continue with the pattern and create the entire hat with or without a pompom.

The Hanna Hat is also reversible. You can wear it as shown in the first pic or turn it inside out and turn the hat band up for a completely different look as shown in the 2nd and 4th pics.

This is a fairly easy pattern to knit and may give you an opportunity to try a new knitting technique. There are only 4 different rnds/rows in this pattern so it does not require a lot of concentration.
