This pattern is for a girls sweater with a picture on a front pocket of a family group, mum, dad, and baby. The sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up. The pocket front and colourwork is worked flat. The sleeves are picked up and work in the round from the top.

The rib used is a cable rib.

There is a chart only for the colourwork.

DK weight yarn in 2 colours, wool, acrylic, or a wool/acrylic blend is recommended.
MC 290 370, 450, 530m (317 405, 492, 580yds).
CC 80 100, 120, 140m (87 109, 131, 153yds).
3 buttons, 1.5cm (0.5in).

Equipment
3.25mm (US3) circular needle, 40cm (16in) long, and dpns, or size needed to obtain gauge.
4mm (US6) circular needle, 40cm (16in) long, and dpns, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Pair of 4mm (US6) straight needles.
Cable needle.
3 stitch markers.
1 stitch holder.

Gauge
22sts and 30rnds = 10cm (4in) square on 4mm (US6) needles worked in stocking stitch in the round, after blocking. Please make sure that you meet the same gauge with stranded colourwork.
