Veronik writes in the book, “I used a simple slip-stitch pattern that let me use multiple colors without compromising the stretchy nature of the fabric. This allowed me to use just one color per round with the slipped stitches adding a pleasing texture, which is enhanced when the legs slouch. The bright turquoise accentuates the cuffs, heels, and toes, and gives a playful touch reminiscent of sock monkeys. Bright footwear is not just for females—next time you watch a “hoofer” movie featuring perhaps Fred Astaire or Gene Kelley, take a look at their feet.”
