This blanket is worked vertially, but it is easy to work it horizontally instead! This is so versatile and so much fun to make. The unique stitch combination that I have put together creates a thicker fabric, so it’s ideal for a warm and comfy blanket. Since it is worked vertically, it seems to work up fast. Snuggle up and keep warm with this adorable Happy Stripes Blanket!! Be bold and experiment with different color combinations!

MATERIALS:

  • You will need at leaset 1,800 yards of worsted weight yarn in total for this. It took me two skeins of Red Hearts With Love SOLIDS for each of the three colors used.
  • Size “I” crochet hook, or hook desired. Since I have included the stitch multiple, you can use any hook and adjust your starting chain for the desired length.
  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends.

STITCHES USED:

  • Single crochet
  • Half double crochet
  • Double crochet
