These socks are fun to knit. They are knitted from the top down, with a heel flap and basic toe. The leg portion of the socks have an easy YO pattern stitch to add a bit of interest. These socks remind me of the slouchy socks of the 80’s and early 90’s. You can wear them up or push them down to scrunch around your ankles. I named these socks “Hard Candy” due to the colors in the self-striping yarn. Lemon, Lime, Orange, etc.

Feel free to make these socks with whacky self-striping yarn or even a solid color. Any fingering weight sock yarn will work for these socks.

This sock pattern was created for the Six Sock September 2011 Knit-Along.
