The main motif for the fingerless mitts is inspired by one of Albertus Pictor’s medieval murals in Härkeberga church in Uppland, Sweden.
Härkeberga Guldmantel means Golden Cloak from Härkeberga in swedish.

Alternative yarns, if you can´t get the Kampes 2-ply wool yarn originally used for this design.

The pattern is also available in swedish.
