1 skein each of Atomic Red, Myrtle, Limoncello, Delicot, Phthalo, Chalk & Caramel

Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper weight, 100% Shetland wool

1 ball each of shades 93, 34, 66, 53, 118, 1 & FC44

Gauge
Small to Medium using Fenella
32 sts & 34 rounds to 10cm (4in) over Fair Isle pattern worked in the round and after blocking. We obtained this gauge using 2.75mm (US 2) needles.

Large using Jamieson & Smith 2ply jumper weight
31 sts & 33 rounds to 10cm (4in) over Fair Isle pattern worked in the round and after blocking. We obtained this gauge using 3.25mm (US 3) needles.

Suggested Needles & Notions

For small to medium mittens
2.75mm (US 2) double pointed needles

For large mittens
2.75mm (US 2) double pointed needles
3.25mm (US 3 double pointed needles

Pattern Notes
These mittens are knitted in the round from the cuff upwards. Stitches for the thumb are left on waste yarn until the main part of the mitten is completed. At this point the thumb is then knitted.
