I was a teenager when “When Harry met Sally” hit the big screen. A movie that featured two actors I greatly admired with spectacular fall scenes, humor, friendship and love, of course

When I created this design and saw the intertwined cables patterned against the autumnal colors of the self-striping aka Auto-rayanteᵐᶜ yarn, I had a thought for my beloved movie and that’s what inspired the pattern name!

This design was originally written for Biscotte Mystery Sock Club - September 2022 and is now available to purchase! You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern, at no additional charge!

Here is what you need to knit this project:

  • The Harry & Sally knitting pattern (sent as a PDF numeric file) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.
  • PatricKnits Collection – BIS-SOCK SELF-STRIPING 85% merino wool sw, 15% nylon; 400 m par 100 g - 1 skein - shown in an exclusive color - The color Asante has been dyed for those who would like a color close to the original one.

To complete this knitting project, you will require these additional accessories along with the knitting kit:

  • Circular needle needle of 2.5 mm (or the size required to obtain the gauge)
  • Cable needle
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers

SIZES AVAILABLE IN THE PATTERN -Adult one size (foot length is adjustable)

GAUGE: 32 sts = 10 cm in stockinette stitch

NOTE: This model is worked from the cuff down with a short row heel. Adorned with lace columns and cables, the stitch pattern on the leg is made of 24 sts and is repeated 3 times per round. The pattern is then modified to continue on the top of the foot.
