This Harry Potter Replica Quidditch Sweater pattern and tutorial was created by Film/Television producer and avid knitter Greg Steiner to recreate the look of the original design created by Judianna Makovsky for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the US).

The pattern is 12 pages and is a complete step by step “fill in the blank” guide to creating a custom fit Harry Potter replica Quidditch sweater. The guide contains three sections:

Section 1 walks you through the process of taking all of the measurements necessary to make the custom fit sweater.

Section 2 walks you through step by step through all of the calculations needed.

Section 3 walks you step by step through the process of knitting the finished sweater.

*** Important Note ***
(When Making the Sweater for Small Children)

While this pattern was designed to be a custom fit, in cases where the intended recipient is a very small child (an unusually short sweater length), the calculations may produce negative numbers. This is due to the way the formulas calculate the position of the colored chest stripe. If this occurs, please let us know and we can rework the calculations by decreasing the size of the chest stripe and provide you with corrected numbers to use when knitting the sweater.
