The oat fields of my Iowa childhood inspired these mitt stitches. Cables create the undulating wave of the oat seeds on the back of each hand while the rows of the harvested field adorn the palm and thumb. Thumb gusset is worked on the palm side of each mitt for a hand formed fit. Fingerless mitts are elegant yet so practical, allowing fingertips do the work they excel at – touching, holding, grasping, and gripping. Designed to match the Harvest Bounty Hat and Scarf.
These mitts are designed for DK weight yarn in 3 sizes. The pattern has both written and charted instructions.

These mitts are worked in the rnd from the cuff to the fingertip. The thumb gusset is placed on the palm side of each hand. The rnd begins on the pinkie side of each hand.

Complete the set with the Harvest Bounty scarf or Harvest Bounty Hat.

Pattern has been tech edited by Michelle Hazell and test knit.
