Robin Melanson was uniquely inspired when choosing her palette for her Fair Isle cardigan by foliage of wild grasses and the cover of Neil Young’s 1972 album Harvest. For simplicity, the same background color is used throughout, but then she shaded the pattern colors rhythmically from dark to light then back to dark.
