This sock pattern is the perfect textured sock to knit for fall/winter. The tiny, twisted stitches make a lovely textured pattern which provides a nice, warm, cushy sock. Twisted stitches look like tiny cable stitches, but no cable needle is needed. Don’t be intimidated by the twisted stitches, because they are easy to create! The pattern that the stitches create, remind me of wheat, blowing in the wind, and are reminiscent of fall and harvest time, thus the name Harvest Festival.

Note about pattern sizing:
For myself, I normally knit my socks using US1.5 and 64 stitch count. I wear a regular US 8. My foot is not narrow, nor wide. However, because of the tightness of the twisted stitch pattern, I knit myself the 72 count size, as specified in this pattern, and it fits perfectly. Please keep this in mind if you think 72 stitches will be too big for you.

If you need to adjust the stitch count for sizing, please add or subtract stitches in multiples of 3.
