When there isn’t enough room to wear your autumnal heart on your sleeve, Harvest Melody lets you show it off on your hat. With piles of pumpkins around the hat, you’ll be ready for crisp fall mornings, apple cider, and the changing leaves.

This hat is worked in the round from the brim up, using the smaller needles for the Brim and final rounds of the Crown of the hat; larger needles are used to work in stranded knitting for the Body. This hat pattern is recommended for knitters who have experience with stranded colorwork, knitting in the round, and reading charts.

Yarn
Lattes & Llamas Geek-A-Long Yarn (3-ply; 100 grams/ 328 yards; 80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon) or a comparable sport weight to heavy fingering weight yarn in three contrasting colorways.

Sample is shown in Half-Orc as Color A, Cyborg as Color B, and Hep Alien as Color C.

Color A: 11 (12, 13, 14) grams/ 36 (40, 43, 46) yards
Color B: 33 (36, 39, 42) grams/ 109 (118, 128, 138) yards
Color C: 22 (24, 26, 28) grams/ 72 (79, 86, 92) yards

When choosing your colorways, make sure Color B contrasts strongly with Color C. I recommend taking a photograph of the yarns together, and then changing it into black and white to double check.
