This cozy and easy-to-construct afghan is structured like one large quilt block with single color and two-color crocheted squares combining to form the image of a wreath. To minimize color changes (and the number of ends to weave in) on the two-color blocks, the squares are worked back-and-forth in the round, and the color changes are hidden under the next row. Only simple stitches are used: the squares are made up of double crochet stitches and chains, the squares are joined using mattress stitch, and the final edging repeats the pattern from the squares. I suggest the Cascade 220 Superwash yarn because it is machine washable, and the vibrant colors resist fading.
