The Japanese word “hashi” translates to “bridge” in English. Much like the Japanese garden in British Columbia that I was inspired by; I am recreating a Japanese structure into a cable pattern. The bridge cable borders the hem as well as the deeply cabled sleeve cuff. Slight waist shaping, fitted sleeves, and an interesting convertible collar make this a dream to wear!
Cardigan is worked from the bottom up in one piece and separated for armhole openings. The sleeve are worked flat and set into the armholes. The buttonbands and collar are picked up and knit on.
