If you’ve never done a whole pattern knitting the knit stitches through the back loop, you should give it a try, and this is the pattern to do it. You can certainly work this easy pattern without doing the whole back loop thing, but if you try it, I think you’ll see it adds a touch of elegance to your stitches. It just looks really cool. The picture doesn’t do it justice. I do this almost all the time now on my ribbings because I like how much better it looks and it really looks neat on a whole hat. Try it for yourself and see.
