The simple slip stitch has been a go-to for hat patterns fo me for a long time. It is SO EASY but it looks good. You can easily adapt it by putting the slipped stiches closer together or farther apart, depending on the look you want. It looks good with both solid and variegated yarns. And did I mention it’s easy!
