This hat features an attractive stitch pattern that combines simple “V” cables and garter stitch.

It’s knitted in the round and does not have a seam.

Size: to fit a child or an average lady with head circumference of 20”-23”

You can make this hat smaller or bigger by using a thinner or thicker version of medium worsted weight yarn and different size needles.

I knitted these two hats in Caron Simply Soft in Blackberry and Premier Yarns Basix Worsted in Nutmeg using US #6/7 needles for the ribbing and US #8/9 for the main part of the hat. The Blackberry color hat fits Size Small-Medium and the Nutmeg color hat fits Size Medium-Large.

The pattern includes both written instructions and a chart for the stitch.

Yarn used: #4 medium worsted/aran (10 ply)
Gauge: 4.5/4 sts per 1” in stockinette stitch
