I designed this simple hat for myself last winter but when my husband, who never wants anything I knit, asked if he could have it, I decided to submit the pattern for this issue. I figured if he liked it, other men might as well. It is a very simple hat. It is so simple I found myself knitting a sample for each size.

The garter stitch border is knit separately. Stitches for the hat are picked up along the selvedge of the border. The sizes range from Newborn to Extra Large. The sizing for the hats is based upon head circumference. When you select a size, determine if you want ease. I added earflaps and ties to the Newborn size. It can be so hard keeping a hat on a baby!
