This top is a quick and pretty way to showcase handspun, artsy, or novelty yarn. It knits up quickly in a bulky yarn, and flatters your curves with a bit of shaping and a deep v-neck. Wool of the Andes Bulky makes a somewhat loose fabric with a nice drape on size 11 needles. This top would be very comfortable in the late winter through the spring. I think a wool top is great for the summer as well, for those who live in areas with foggy mornings, or who work in overly air-conditioned buildings, or for attending outdoor events in the evening. Enterprising knitters can also find substitute yarns in cotton, silk, or a similar warm-weather fiber. Don’t forget, you can double up your yarn of a lighter weight and knit it together to achieve the gauge. Play around with it, and make it yours.
